What is V2X?
V2X stands for "Vehicle-to-Everything." It is an umbrella term for several ways your electric vehicle (EV) can share its stored energy:
V2H (Vehicle-to-Home): Your car powers your house (e.g., during a power cut or at night to avoid high electricity rates).
V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid): Your car sends power back to the electricity grid to help support the network, often earning you credits on your bill.
V2L (Vehicle-to-Load): You plug a device (like a coffee machine, laptop, or power tool) directly into a socket on the car.
How Does It Work?
Most people think of an EV as a "one way street" you plug it in, and power goes from the wall into the car. V2X makes it a two-way street.
When your solar panels produce more energy than you need during the day, that "free" energy is stored in your car's massive battery. When the sun goes down, and electricity becomes expensive, your car sends that power back into your home to run your lights, TV, and air conditioning.
